Grodno is one of the oldest cities in Belarus. The official date of foundation of the city is considered to be in 1128.
The city is located on the high banks at the Neman River. The geographical terrain gives an unforgettable beauty and grandeur of these places. That is why the city has become the second capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the Duke Vytautas, and was the favorite residence of Stefan Batory the King of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.
Grodno is a place of intersection of many cultures and peoples. In it appeared unique objects, which eventually became a historical value not only for the people of Belarus, but also for the other nations historically associated with Grodno.
