Historical Grodno

Hrodna is one of the oldest cities in Belarus. The first mention of the city dates from 1127.

The city is located on the high banks at the Neman River. This arrangement allows you to enjoy beautiful views and emphasizes the importance of this place. During the reign of Vytautas the Great, Hrodna was an important city of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It was also the favorite residence of the ruler of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, Stefan Batory.

Hrodna is a place of intersection of many cultures and nations. Unique buildings were erected here at various times, which today are of historical value not only for people from Belarus, but also for nations historically associated with Hrodna.
